Kris Kylven is one of the true pioneers of Goa / Psychedelic Trance, whose name is forever etched into the history of the electronic music scene. Born in France into a family with Corsican, Arabian, and Canadian roots, he was surrounded by a rich musical environment and inspiration from an early age.
His first deep connection with music came at around the age of 5, thanks to his uncle’s impressive record collection and powerful sound system. It was during this time that his taste for atmospheric and futuristic sounds was shaped, influenced by sci-fi aesthetics and legendary artists such as Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Vangelis, Klaus Schulze, and Pink Floyd.

By the age of 11, Kris had already started programming drum machines, and at 16 he became the vocalist of the cold wave band Dead End. In the early 90s, he fully immersed himself in electronic music, exploring a wide range of styles including ethno, chillout, techno, industrial, gothic, rock, pop, hip-hop, and film scoring.
Since 1995, Kris Kylven has been recognized as one of the key pioneers of the Goa / Psychedelic Trance movement, creating iconic projects such as SYB UNITY NETTWERK, UX, ODDS, ELEMENT OVER NATURE, and CYBERKRIST.
SYB UNITY NETTWERK is Kris’s solo music and art project, founded in 1994, reflecting his unique vision of sound and artistic expression.
UX (Ultimate Xperience) was formed in 1996 together with Pete Martin (Slide) and live MIDI guitarist RX Heaven. Today, the project continues to perform through retro sets and live shows.
This is not just an artist — this is a living legend at the very origin of an entire movement.
